Dedicated Circuit Installation in Yarrow Point

A breaker that trips every time two things run together is not usually faulty. It is a circuit doing two jobs. A separate run fixes it for good. Describe what trips on (000) 000-0000.

Heavy continuous loads belong on their own circuit: ranges, ovens, dryers, hot tubs, well and lake pumps, dock equipment, workshop tools, and increasingly office and network kit. Sharing is what produces the nuisance tripping people live with for years, and the answer is a new run, never a bigger breaker on the same cable.

Detail

What we watch for

  • Breaker sized to the cable and load — never simply the next size up, which hides the problem
  • GFCI and AFCI where required — kitchens, baths, garages, outdoors and docks each have their own rules
  • Outdoor and dock runs protected — correct conductors and enclosures for a wet, exposed environment
  • Directory updated — so the next person is not guessing at the panel

Questions

Asked often

Why can I not just fit a bigger breaker?

Because the breaker protects the cable, not the appliance. A larger one on existing cable removes that protection and lets the cable overheat before anything trips. It is the single most common dangerous shortcut we are asked about.

Does this mean opening walls?

Often not. Garages, crawl spaces, attics and basements usually offer a route that avoids finished surfaces. Where one has to cross a finished room we show you the path first.
